The Mission in Kosovo of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) in cooperation with the Faculty of Law of the University “Haxhi Zeka” in Peja, organized a one-day training with thirty five (35) students on selected property issues of the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR).
The training aimed to expand the knowledge of the students of the Faculty of Law on the ECHR verdicts on property rights, and to increase their awareness on standards and principles of the rule of law of the European Convention on Human Rights.
The discussion focused on the Court’s judiciousness criteria, its general approach to property rights complaints under the Convention, and the analysis of specific property cases.
This training enables students to gain additional knowledge, which affects the improvement of their performance in civil law exams, as well as the increase of their research skills. The training was held at Hotel Dukagjini, in Peja.
