Turkish International Cooperation and Development Agency (TIKA) visits “Haxhi Zeka” University
The Turkish International Cooperation and Development Agency (TIKA) paid an official visit to the UHZ. The delegation of the Agency headed by the director of TIKA for Kosovo, Mr. Cihan Dincer was welcomed by the vice-rector Prof. Dr. Edmond Beqiri with associates.
TIKA superficially informed the UHZ management about its projects in Kosovo, one of which was the support and modernization of the education system in the Republic of Kosovo, an area of interest to the university of “Haxhi Zeka”. Mr.Dincer provided willingness to support Peja University, specifying the relevant areas that they may facilitate within the Agency’s scope of action. He also promised to lobby the Turkish Chamber of Commerce in Kosovo if the needs and requirements of the University exceed the financial possibilities of the Agency, he concluded.
The Vice Rector greeted the delegation and on behalf of Rector prof.dr. Armand Krasniqi expressed deep gratitude for the readiness and good will of the Agency for support. The next day, after identifying the points of need of the UHZ, a memorandum of cooperation could be signed between the parties to pave the way for concretization.
